Walmart Product Care Plans
A limited product warranty is included free for most items. With an optional Walmart Care Plan you can enhance the manufacturer's coverage from the date of purchase. Walmart Product Care Plans cover 100% of the cost for repair or replacement, including shipping charges for the exchange.

Shipping & Delivery

Processing time for an item is the time from when you submit your order to when the item leaves the warehouse. You can usually find an item's processing time when you click "See estimated arrival date" on the item page.
Shipping time is from when the item leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your door. See shipping time below.
The arrival date-range of each item is determined by adding the minimum of the processing time to the minimum of the shipping time and the maximum of the processing time to the maximum of the shipping time. For instance, if you bought a music CD that took 1 to 2 business days to process before shipping and you had it sent by Standard shipping (3 to 5 business days), the CD would arrive in 4 to 9 business days.

You will usually see the estimated arrival date-range when you click "See estimated arrival date" on the item page. You will see the actual arrival date-range during checkout.
Standard Shipping times apply to items being sent to the 48 contiguous states. For Standard Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, add 2-4 days. Shipments to APO / FPO addresses should arrive in 3-6 weeks.
Please note: Delivery of oversize items is limited to street addresses in the 48 contiguous states. You will see the estimated arrival date during checkout after you choose a shipping address.
Free ground shipping on orders over $199. Excludes Freight/LTL shipments. Build.com has tried to make its shipping and handling prices and policies as fair as possible, so you benefit from our competitive pricing, plus the convenience of delivery to your door. For your convenience, if you ordered two or more items, you may receive them in multiple boxes on different days, because of varying item availability and shipping locations. We do not charge you extra shipping for split shipments. We do our best to ensure that shipping is correctly calculated before you purchase; however, at times it may not be possible to do so accurately. We reserve the right to notify you after you’ve purchased an item of any additional shipping or handling charges necessary to deliver your order. If notified of any additional charges, you also have the right to modify or cancel your order for a full refund.

HOW WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
Most items ship UPS or FedEx. If your item is big, your item will ship with a freight carrier that specializes in shipping heavy and bulky items. To learn more read below.
SHIPPING METHODS
Standard Shipping
Small items ship with UPS or FedEx. We do not require a signature for deliveries, but the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the carrier’s discretion.
Please note we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or Military APOs.
Large and bulky items can ship via truck freight.
Delivery is different from standard shipping in 2 ways.

  • Delivery is by appointment. The carrier will contact you within one week of delivery to arrange 2-4 hr window.
  • You are responsible for removing the item from the truck. Front Door Service/Basic Service
  • Delivery to: Inside the threshold of your residence. Your product will be delivered to your front entrance, The product will not be carried up stairs inside the home. If you live in an apartment above the first floor of a building, we recommend upgrading to Room of Choice or Room of Choice with Packaging Removal.
  • Assembly Service: None
  • Packaging: The product will be left in the original packaging. Room of Choice Service
  • Delivery to: A two-man team will bring the item inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly: None
  • Packaging: The product will be left in the original packaging. Room of Choice with Packaging Removal
  • Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly Service: The shipper will unpack the product and provide basic setup that requires no tools (i.e. set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other).
  • Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging. Assembly Service
  • Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly Service: The shipper will unpack the product and provide light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other).
  • Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging. *In all cases the shipper will not hook up any electrical or component wires. Having items carried up more than 25 steps and longer assembly periods are available as additional services which would require additional charges.
